WELCOME TO STROLLER WEEK!

Maybe you are an expecting mom thinking about registering... maybe you have #2 on the way and want to find out more about doubles... or maybe you are looking for a second stroller. Or perhaps.... like me... you are just curious as to what else is out there! Read up on My Three Strollers, and be sure to check back each day this week for great stroller reviews written by a fabulous line up of guest bloggers... and join the discussion by leaving a comment!

I see BOBs out and about all the time. I know a few friends who have them, and some more who covet them... today Emily, who has a blog titled, Eating, Running and Loving Life in CBus writes about her BOB, which she may in fact love more than her husband (Just kidding!). And... if Emily sounds familiar, she is! She has guest blogged for Baby To Go twice before. She wrote about her trip to Hawaii and her experience with cloth diapers!

So when I first got pregnant I had high hopes for a stroller.  I was totally in love with the Stokke Explorer.  As much as I loved this stroller I felt I should be realistic.  My neighbor had the Bob Revolution for their son and told us all the time how much they loved it.  They also owned the Peg Preggo car seat and the travel system.  She couldn’t express enough how much more she liked her BOB to her Peg Preggo.  So as I continued asking around it was clear that everyone who had a BOB LOVED them and I was sold.  I didn’t want to pay the extra $50+ for the car seat adapter so we decided to register for both a snap & go and the BOB.  We received our snap & go and I got the BOB as a Christmas present from the hubby.  My baby girl is still in her infant car seat and I couldn’t help myself, I wanted the infant car seat adapter.  But I didn’t pay $50+, let me explain….

BOB Revolution Stroller in BlackIf you don’t have a Buy Buy Baby(BBB) in your area, I’m sorry, because they are an AWESOME baby store.  They have a wonderful selection, knowledgeable, friendly staff and most importantly – their coupon policy.  They are owned by the Bed, Bath & Beyond(BB&B) so they accept both Buy Buy Baby and Bed Bath & Beyond coupons.  They ALSO accept competitor coupons and this is important.  I got my BOB using a competitor coupon.  The BBB and BB&B coupons have a BOB exception on them so you can’t use them on BOB accessories.  The Babies R Us coupons have no exceptions and thus can be used at BBB.  So I got 20% off my stroller.  This was HUGE!  I also got 15% off my car seat adapter because I sweet talked the sales guy who got me 15% off an open box.

OK, so back to why I love the BOB.  It is a dream to push.  It practically pushes itself.  I can take it on sand, snow, grass, mud, etc (actually – I have used it on all of these surfaces already!).  My husband is almost six feet tall and he feels completely comfortable with it.  I use it on the trail, on the sidewalks, on the brick streets in my neighborhood, in the mall, the grocery store, everywhere.  Nowadays it is the only stroller I use.  The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is a bit heavy and it takes up a lot of room in my trunk.

We have been discussing smaller umbrella type strollers in my playgroup lately and a lot of the ladies are getting Maclarens – I just haven’t found a need yet for any other stroller.  I took the BOB with me to Hawaii but I wouldn’t travel with it by myself – I don’t think.  Although maybe without the car seat.  My snap and go holds a lot of junk in airports and I love to fly with it.  I don’t do any travelling with mass transit so I can’t tell you how it would handle on busses and subways.  I think I could handle it on subways with elevator options but definitely not on a bus.  It’s just too bulky!

All in all, I would recommend it to anyone who does a lot of walking or running (oh yea – I forgot to mention that it is primarily a jogging stroller – I don’t use it for that) including those who walk/run on uneven surfaces.  It can go anywhere – smoothly!  I love it and wouldn’t have anything else – although if you gave me the Stokke, I would gladly use it J

Great Article!

The BOB joggers are the best joggers on the market. I have three of them.

What makes them even better, and better for your body is adding a set of Healthy Handles to them. Healthy Handles are customized fro the BOB joggers..but they fit most other joggers as well. They have a code on thier facebook page that says if you enter "friend" at checkout you save $10...plus there is a 100% money back (including shipping) guarantee! I have used them for 6 months, and would never use any stroller without them. If you value your long term body alignment, check out www.healthyhandles.com
